Author Ambush & Giveaway with Cynthia Eden

Happy Friday Book Monster and Literal Addicts!
LITERAL ADDICTION and Book Monster Reviews are very happy to have the incredible Cynthia Eden back with us today.

A picture of Cynthia Eden.Cynthia Eden is a national best-selling author of paranormal romance and romantic suspense novels. Her books have received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, and her novel, DEADLY FEAR, was named a RITA® finalist for best romantic suspense.

She is a southern girl who loves horror movies, chocolate, and happy endings.  She has always wanted to write (don’t most authors say that?), and particularly enjoys creating stories about monsters–vampires, werewolves, and even the real-life monsters that populate her romantic suspense stories.

Cynthia’s foreign sales for her books include translations to Japan, Germany, Thailand, and Brazil.

(Back in the day…) She graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Alabama where she studied Sociology (because people interest her) and Communication (because she likes to write about said people).  Cynthia has worked as a college admissions counselor, a teacher, and as an editor. But now, Cynthia is thrilled to be spending her days making up stories.

You can find Cynthia online at her Website, on Facebook, Twitter, and  GoodReads.

She is the proud creator of the NIGHTWATCH, MIDNIGHT, BOUND, DEADLY, LOVED BY GODS, PURGATORY and THE FALLEN series.

We highly suggest that you check out Cynthia’s entire library of literary excellencebut for today, we’re focusing on THE FALLEN series and it’s newest installment, “Angel in Chains”, which was just released on 11/27/12.

Angel of Darkness
As an angel of death, Keenan’s job is to collect the souls on his list. He’s carried out his duty for two thousand years and never faltered once. Until he meets Nicole St. James. When the moment of death comes, Keenan hesitates, and instead of taking Nicole, Keenan touches the vampire who’s attacking her.

Cast out of heaven for disobedience, Keenan plummets to earth. Six months later, he finally manages to track Nicole to a bar in Mexico. He’s stunned to discover that the woman he remembers has undergone a dramatic change—she’s become a vampire. And when he realizes that she’s the target of all manner of enemies—other vampires, demons, even shifters—he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her, even if all hell breaks loose…

Angel Betrayed
THE FALLEN Book #2

Buy from Amazon | B&N

Angel BetrayedSammael–call him Sam–was an angel once. An Angel of Death. But the dispassionate, watch-from-above thing just wasn’t working for him when it meant watching evil torture innocent souls day in and day out. It might have cost him his wings, but these days he gets to apply the direct method on the bad guys. Problem is, what’s making his life difficult is a bad girl…

Seline O’Shaw needs protection, and with the hounds of hell on her tail, she’s not going to quibble too hard about where she gets it. Sam’s virtue is questionable, but he’s smoking hot, massively powerful, and owes her a favor. So what if she’s getting a little case of angel lust? There are some damn deadly sins after her hide…

Angel in Chains
THE FALLEN Book #3

Buy from Amazon | B&N

Angel in Chains
As a fallen Angel of Death, Azrael is cursed to walk the earth alone in search of redemption. One night, as he wanders the streets of New Orleans, he discovers a woman surrounded by panther shifters. No longer able to contain the anger simmering within, Az summons his dark powers and attacks, determined to protect this innocent human from certain death.

Only Jade Pierce is no delicate flower. She’s spent years learning to survive and fight the evil forces sent by her ex-lover who refuses to let her go. But after seeing Az in action, she figures she could use a little supernatural help. And so she plans a course of seduction guaranteed to arouse his interest and his angelic passions…

The 4th book, “Avenging Angel”, is set to be released on 5/28/13. J

Now that we’ve got you all caught up, what do you say we see what Cynthia had to say when we let her take over the sites for the day…

Hi, everyone! Happy Holidays! I am so excited to be back at Literal Addiction & Book Monster Reviews—I love it here!

And what a great time of the year for a visit…it’s the holiday season, and magic seems to hang in the air. People seem happier, they smile more often—but maybe those smiles are just because folks know that presents are near. ;) (That’s sure the reason that my son smiles at our house!)

But as I started thinking about the holidays, I wondered how some of the paranormal characters in my books would react to the celebration.  Az, the hero of my latest release (ANGEL IN CHAINS) is a fallen angel.  Since he’s new to the mortal world, all of the emotion and excitement of the holiday season might be a bit overwhelming for him. Poor angel.  I suspect that if he had the choice, he’d just spend the holidays secluded with his heroine—and far away from those busy crowds.

But, other than that seclusion, here are a few ways that I think my fallen angel could enjoy the holiday season:

1: He could go around ringing every bell he sees—when a bell rings, an angel gets his wings, right? (That’s what the sweet little girl said in It’s A Wonderful Life!) Well, Az could spread some cheer by helping other fallen angels try to get their wings back.

2: Az could be introduced to the wonder of mistletoe. Sure, I think it is actually poison, so we’d have to make sure that Az didn’t eat the mistletoe, but he could get enjoy the benefits of kissing under the poison—um, mistletoe.  Since he’s becoming acquainted with worldly sins, I suspect Az would enjoy a bit of mistletoe.

3:  Shopping spree.  What?  Az has been without temptation for centuries.  Don’t you think it’s past time that he was unleashed on the mall?

If you were a fallen angel, how would you like to celebrate the holidays?  One commenter from each site will be picked to win a $10 Amazon.com gift card.

Happy holidays!

Best,

~Cynthia Eden

If I was a Fallen Angel and still had my wings available... I'd take my love on a winged ride over the city to enjoy the lights and hover over the churches to bask in the glory of Christmas music!

I would try to redeem myself by giving good and working at the soup kitchen.

Good question. I haven't read this series, but I would assume if I were fallen, I would not be happy during a religous holiday, so I would want to be as far aware from people as possible.
