Meet Vivian. She's a 580-year-old vampire who exudes sex, has a talent for drama, and is passionate about two things: her human husband, Rafe, and their resort for the undead. Her ability to project physical illusions has created the perfect vacation spot a dark, isolated Alaskan hideaway where visitors can have their wildest fantasies come true.

Vivian knows the best performance requires perfect timing, but the powerful vamp is put to the test when she discovers a corpse in a locked guestroom minutes before the next arrivals. Always cool-headed, Rafe hides the body, convinced he and Vivian can find the culprit without disturbing their guests.

Juggling the increasingly outrageous demands of their customers while tracking a killer isn't easy. Will their poking and prodding give them the answers they need, or will it uncover secrets Vivian would kill to protect?

Warning:
This story contains some explicit sex scenes and is
not intended for readers under 18.

Review by Joanne G (the mamma of the Book Monster)

Vivian, a 500 year old vamp and her human life partner Rafe open an erotic, over-the-top, sensual, dark vacation resort in the wilds of Alaska for vampires and their entourage.  Vivian is a sexy, vivacious woman who enjoys life and her sex-filled relationship with her man; her vacation resort is her second love as she entertains and sets up erotica playtimes for her customers.  Life is wonderful and Viv and Rafe use their psychic powers to the fullest to keep their customers happy.  What could be better??  Until the day Viv trips over a dead body in one of the guest rooms, shot dead and worse, someone she has never seen before.  How could this happen and how did this person get in without her knowing about it?

Vampire Vacation (Book 1) by C.J. Ellisson is just plain fun, fun, fun!!!  Most of the book is dedicated to setting up the premise of the resort and all the fun entailed in handing the guests and the employees; so, throwing a dead body in the mix, just adds enough suspense and mystery to the story line.  Ms. Ellisson has a great a 5 star read sense of humor and gives us just enough of her erotic side to keep us entertained and best of all, looking for more.  I can’t wait to read book 2!!

I give Vampire Vacation 5 out of 5 skulls
