Author Ambush with Elisabeth Naughton

Hello everyone! LITERAL ADDICTION and Book Monster Reviews are proud to welcome Elisabeth Naughton back to our sites today!

Elisabeth was never one of those people who knew they wanted to be an author at the age of six. She didn’t have imaginary friends. She didn’t write stories in her journal or entertain her relatives by firelight after Thanksgiving dinner. For the most part, she was just a normal, everyday kid. She liked to read, but she wasn’t exceptional at it. When her teachers complimented her on her writing abilities, she brushed them off. She did, however, always have a penchant for the unique and absurd. And as her mother told her all throughout her childhood, she should have been an actress—yeah; she was a drama queen before her time.

Years ago, her husband bought Elisabeth Scarlett: The Sequel to Gone With The Wind. If you ever saw the book, you know it’s a long one. She sat and read it from cover to cover, and then dreamed of one day becoming a writer. But she didn’t actually try her hand at writing until years later when she quit her teaching job to stay home with her kids (and after that week of reading where she neglected the hubby and everything else until she finished Scarlett, the DH vowed never to buy her another book again, though little did he know she’d one day end up sitting at a keyboard all day drafting her own stories).

Elisabeth is the proud creator of the STOLEN TRILOGY and the ETERNAL GUARDIANS series. The latest book in the ETERNAL GUARDIANS series, “Enraptured", was just dropped on April 3, 2012 and we’re here today to help Elisabeth promote and celebrate!

For those of you not yet familiar with the ETERNAL GUARDIANS, we’d like to give you the synopses of the books in the series so far, including the new release, “Enraptured”.

THERON—Dark haired, duty bound and deceptively deadly. He’s the leader of the Argonauts, an elite group of guardians that defends the immortal realm from threats of the Underworld.

From the moment he walked into the club, Casey knew this guy was different. Men like that just didn’t exist in real life—silky shoulder-length hair, chest impossibly broad, and a predatory manner that just screamed dark and dangerous. He was looking for something. Her.

She was the one. She had the mark. Casey had to die so his kind could live, and it was Theron’s duty to bring her in. But even as a 200-year-old descendent of Hercules, he wasn’t strong enough to resist the pull in her fathomless eyes, to tear himself away from the heat of her body.

As war with the Underworld nears, someone will have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Forces of daemons are gathering and have broken through the barriers of the Underworld. Now more than ever the Eternal Guardians are needed to protect both their own realm and the human world. Zander can’t afford to think about what might have been with the bewitching physician he once regarded as his soul mate. But with eternity stretching out before him, he also can’t fathom spending his life without the one woman who makes him feel most alive. Perhaps he’s found his weakness, after all …

DEMETRIUS—He’s the hulking, brooding warrior his fellow Guardians avoid. Too dark. Too damaged. And given his heritage, he knows it’s best to keep everyone at arm’s length. Isadora is missing. The words pound through his head like a frantic drumbeat. For her own protection, Demetrius did all he could to avoid the fragile princess, his soul mate. And now she’s gone—kidnapped. To get her back, he’ll have to go to the black place in his soul he’s always shunned. As daemons ravage the human realm and his loyalty to the Guardians is put to the ultimate test, Demetrius realizes that Isadora is stronger than anyone thought. And finally letting her into his heart may be the only way to save them both.

Orpheus may have joined the elite protectors known as Eternal Guardians, but they've never trusted whose side he's really on. And the half-daemon couldn't care less. Orpheus has only one goal: rescue his brother from the Underworld. He's not expecting a woman to get in the way, especially not one sent by Zeus to seduce, entrap, and then ultimately destroy him. A woman who will dredge up a past he doesn't remember, a love that once condemned him, and a dark and deadly secret as old as the Eternal Guardians themselves.

Well, now that we’ve got you all online downloading and buying the entire series, we have something extra special for you today - an interview with Orpheus and Skyla of "Enraptured". Enjoy!!

To celebrate and help promote the release of their book, “Enraptured”, we had the wonderful opportunity to sit down and chat with Orpheus and Skyla.

This is a transcript of our interview with the sexiest new couple in Paranormal Romance:

Michelle:  "Thank you both so much for meeting with us today".

Carla:  "Yes, we really appreciate you taking the time to answer some questions for us and our readers".

: “Totally happy to be here.”
: ~sighing and crossing his arms over his chest~ “Yeah, whatever.”
: “Ignore him. He doesn’t like these interviews.”
~Snorting~ “I’ll say. I’d rather be locking a room with you getting ready too—”
Skyla: “Okay, TMI already. Maybe I should do all the talking?”
Carla:  ~chuckling~ "Okay, getting right to it then. Skyla, what were the best and worst parts about being a Siren"?

Skyla: “Hm…the best part was getting to kick some ass on a regular basis.”
Orpheus: “She does like to do that.”
Skyla: ~Shooting him a look~ “I am good at it.”
Orpheus: “No argument here. I particularly like it when you use your mouth to—”
Skyla: ~Cutting him off in a loud voice~ “The worst part—in retrospect—was not being shown the complete picture about why I was being sent on each assignment.”
Michelle:  "I could see how that would grate on a person. Especially knowing what you know now. Orpheus, we know the whole Argonaut gig was thrust upon you, but we also know that you’re a good guy deep down. ~winks~ What are your plans for the Guardians, are you going to be a team player"? ~smiles~

Orpheus ~Leveling Michelle a look~ “Good guy? I don’t think so. That makes me sound like Ryan Gossling or something. As for being a team player…we’ll see how things go. I have plans for the Council. Already know that’s gonna piss Theron off.”
Skyla: ~rolling her eyes~ “Oh boy. Can’t wait to see where that goes.”
Carla:  "So the whole search for the Orb has been shaking things up for quite some time.  Now that it’s been found do you think things will calm down or do you think that this is only the beginning with Kronos and the gang"?

Skyla: “Calm down? No. Zeus and Hades both want the Orb. They aren’t going to calm down about anything. Their need for the Orb will only grow exponentially, especially now when there are only two elements left to find. They know the Queen of Argolea is going to destroy the thing as soon as her Argonauts find it. They can’t let that happen. He who hold the Orb holds all the power.”
Orpheus: “Listen to the woman. She knows what she’s talking about.”
Skyla: ~Frowning~ “Unfortunately, I do.”
Michelle:  ~gives a sympathetic look to the couple~  "Speaking of things escalating…Hey, how is Gryphon doing"?

Orpheus: ~Scowls and looks away~
Skyla: ~Pats his arm and focuses on Michelle~. “He has good and bad days. Today was not a good day.”
Orpheus: ~Looking pained~ “Can we change the subject?”
Carla:  "So now that you remember some things about your pasts, do each of you think the other was more charming in the past or now"? ~smirks~

: ~Looks toward Orpheus with raised brow~ “I’ll let Orpheus answer that one first.”
: ~Studies Skyla from the feet up with a knowing smirk~ “She’s definitely sexier than she was back then. And she’s learned a few things, though where she learned them I’m not sure I want to know.”
: ~rolling her eyes again~ “Translation – I don’t put up with his crap like I did back then.”
Orpheus : ~chuckling~ “That’s true. She doesn’t.”
Michelle:  "Skyla, Orpheus is a very complex guy. ~smiles~  Is it tough to reconcile the fact that your love is a daemon, an Argonaut, and a witch"?

Orpheus: ~Leaning over to nip Skyla’s earlobe~ “She loves my inner daemon.”
Skyla: ~Laughing and pushing him away~ “The daemon part I never had a problem with.”
Orpheus: “She’s got a thing for power.”
Skyla: ~Sighing~ “Apparently I do. It was actually the Argonaut part I had the most trouble with. Didn’t seem to go with the other two.”
Orpheus : ~Leaning back against his chair and sighing~ “Still doesn’t. Major conflict.”
Carla:  "Orpheus, what about you?  Skyla’s a bad ass Siren.  How does it feel to have a woman that was literally trained to kick your ass"?  ~laughs~

Orpheus: ~Grinning like a fool~ “What’s not to love about that?”
Skyla: ~Smiling in approval~
Michelle:  "So, what’s next for you two"?
Skyla: ~Sobering~ “Athena. She has a lot to answer for.”
Orpheus: ~Reaching out for Skyla’s hand~ “Don’t worry, Siren. She will.”
Skyla: ~Gripping his hand tightly in hers.~ “First the Orb.”
Orpheus: “And Atalanta.”
Skyla: “Right. And Atalanta.”
Carla:  "Is there anything that either of you would like us to take back to our readers"?
Orpheus: “Tell them to buy our book. I get a lot of hot sex in this one.”
Skyla: ~Smacking him in the chest with the flat of her hand~
Orpheus: ~Cringing~ “What was that for?”
Skyla: “For thinking with your dick.”
Orpheus: ~Looking perplexed~ “I’m a guy, sweetheart.”
Skyla: “Enough said.”
Michelle:  "Thank you both so much for taking time out for us.  We know that you have a lot going on and we really appreciate it".
Carla:  "Absolutely, we really appreciate it and we know that our readers will enjoy getting some inside information".
Skyla: “Anytime.”
Orpheus: ~Pushing out of his chair and dragging Skyla up with him. “So we’re done? Hot damn. It’s time for the Siren to kick my ass again anyway.”
Skyla: ~Chuckling as he drags her toward the door~ “My hero the daemon, folks.”
