Author Ambush with Michele Hauf

Hello everyone!  LITERAL ADDICTION and Book Monster Reviews are VERY happy to have the wonderful Michele Hauf back with us today!!
Michele has been writing romance, action-adventure and fantasy stories for over twenty years. Her first published novel was “DARK RAPTURE” (FANTASTIC read by the way!!).

France, musketeers, vampires and faeries populate her stories, but if she followed the adage 'write what you know', all her stories would have snow in them. Fortunately, she steps beyond her comfort zone and writes about countries she has never visited and of creatures she has never seen, which makes us readers very, VERY happy!

Michele is the author of the BEWITCH THE DARK, WICKED GAMES, CHANGELINGS and OF ANGELS & DEMONS series, though she also has some amazing titles and series in the Fantasy, Historical, and Action/Adventure genres as well (DARK ENCHANTMENTS, THE NETWORK, and THE SAINT-SYLVESTERS just to name a few).  You can find out about her entire backlist here:

Michele’s latest release, “The Werewolf’s Wife” is already critically acclaimed and receiving rave reviews just like everything else we’ve known Michele to produce.

For those of you not yet familiar with Michele’s work, 1 – you really need to remedy that situation, and 2, since we gave you a rundown of some books’ synopses in the last Event with Michele, we thought we’d stick to bringing you up to speed with “The Werewolf’s Wife” today.  let’s give you a little synopsis of her two latest reads to give some insight.

“The Werewolf’s Wife”:

The legacy he must obey…
…The child she must save…
The man who threatens to fulfill her every fantasy…
and break her heart.

Alpha wolf Ridge Addison left his wife in Las Vegas, vowing to put their one reckless night of passion behind him and return to his clan. Thirteen years later he needs a divorce so he can become pack leader. Yet he's never forgotten the sensuous witch whose life he saved…or the knee-buckling kisses he still craves. After they parted, Abigail tried banishing Ridge from her memory. Now her heart belongs only to her son. But when the boy is kidnapped, she knows she alone can't save him. Though Abigail's body still aches for Ridge, she's willing to give him his freedom in exchange for his help. But who will shield her heart from the only man she's ever let claim her, body and soul?

O.K, now that we’ve sufficiently peaked your interest about the new release and hopefully have all of our new readers out on Amazon and Barnes and Noble marking and downloading and checking out her Backlist, let’s get to the special treat we have for you today…

Carla and I were able to sit down with Ridge and Abigail from “The Werewolf’s Wife” for an interview and we have a transcript of our visit for you to enjoy.  Happy Reading!

To celebrate the release of their book, we had the wonderful opportunity to sit down and chat with Ridge and Abigail from “The Werewolf’s Wife” following their adventure.  Read on for a transcript of our time with the pair…

[To make things easy, Abigail invited us over to the compound to sit down over coffee.]

[Arriving at a sprawling estate in a very earthy and wooded Minneapolis suburb we walk up to the front door of the building we were sent to and ring the bell.]

Michelle:  *glancing over to Carla*  Nice place huh!?

Carla:  Absolutely.  Do you think I should have worn flannel? *glances down at her jeans and Book Monster T-Shirt and laughs*

Michelle:  *shakes head*  You?  In flannel?  I just can’t see it.  *smiles*

[We hear footsteps in the foyer and the locks being disengaged.  The door opens to a stunning woman with long ink black hair, ice blue eyes and a figure we would have both killed for]
Abigail:  Ladies, welcome!  I love readers, and readers who spend their time dreaming about all things fantastical like vampires and werewolves and witches?  Such a joy!  Ridge is making coffee.  He's on a break from cutting down trees.  He loves that lumberjack stuff.  I love it too because wait until you see his abs and shoulders.  All that heavy lifting?  Whew!

[Following Abigail into the compound we walk through several beautiful common living areas and enter a huge modern yet homey kitchen.  We take seats at the breakfast bar where coffee is already waiting for us and settle in.  A man wearing only jeans served us with a sheepish grin, and he turns to grab a tee shirt from a door knob.  As he tugs it over his head, we regret the lost view.]

Michelle:  Thank you both so much for taking time out of your busy day to chat with us. *sips coffee*  Ooh, this is really great!  *smiles*

Carla:  Yes, we really appreciate it and our readers will enjoy hearing some more about you. *sips coffee and glances over to Michelle*  Wow, you’re right.  I think this is the best cup of coffee I’ve had. *smiles*

Ridge:  That is my secret blend.

Abigail:  Your secret?  I thought those were my special herbs mixed in there?

Ridge: *Shrugs*  What's yours is mine, sweetie.  Right?  *nuzzles a kiss beside Abigail’s ear and grabs her ass*

[Abigail doesn't even blush before the visitors]

Michelle:  So, now that you’re back home, Ryan’s safe and the heat is off (for now anyway), we can chat about some lighter subjects.  *shakes head with a smile*  So… Married by Elvis in Las Vegas to the tune of “White Wedding”?  Really?  *chuckles*

Ridge: *groans* Vodka

Abigail:  *smirks*  And don't forget his assistant, Priscilla.

Ridge:  Happy times, for sure.  If only I could remember…

Abigail:  *punches Ridge playfully in the arm*  You remember.  You just don't want to admit we had a Vegas wedding.

Ridge:  Not that I didn't want to admit to it, it's just…did someone have to write a whole book about it?  There was stuff in there…embarrassing sex stuff.

Abigail:  Sex is never embarrassing.

Ridge:  We're going to have to hide that book from Ryan.

Abigail:  I agree *smiles sweetly to Michelle and Carla*

Carla:  Ridge, tell us more about this horse powered logging business you’re working on.

Ridge: No diesel-fueled engines or trucks used at all.  Don't want to mess up the environment.  We go in with handsaws and clear out the dead stuff, then haul it out with horses.  We have to have Abigail bespell the horses a bit.  Sometimes they get a little skittish around me.  You know, because of my wolf.

Michelle:  So Abigail, “The Baddest Witch in the Midwest” huh!?  *crooks up the corner of mouth in a ½ smile*  What have you been working on lately with the Council?

Abigail:  I've been avoiding the Council lately.  Just because I've been so busy with other things.

[Ridge actually blushes as he looks aside.]

Abigail:  I meant my son, Ryan.

Ridge:  I know what you meant. *winks knowingly at the ladies*

Carla:  *looks around the room*  I have to ask, how is Swell Cat doing living with all of these Weres?

Ridge:  That creepy critter has quite the backbone.  He also has a tendency to mark his territory.  All over the house.

Abigail:  Yes, well, if you didn't growl at the poor thing all the time.

Ridge:  He growls first!

Michelle:  *looking sympathetically to the couple*  Do you think that either of you will ever be able to forgive Miles for everything that he did?

Abigail:  I don't even think of him anymore.  He's history.

Ridge:  What she said.

Carla:  So, how is Ryan handling things these days following the kidnapping?

Ridge:  *beams proudly*  My boy just returned from school.  He's been helping me with the logging off an on, but I don't want him to be stuck working all the time.  We play football with the pack a lot.  The kid has a great throwing arm.  Sometimes I almost think the ball goes impossibly far…

Abigail:  *nods* That is so strange.  Maybe he's got a bit of magic in him as well?

Michelle:  We know it’s already official, but are you two planning an actual wedding ceremony so that you can invite some friends and family and celebrate a bit?

Ridge:  I’m happy with the Vegas thing.

Abigail:  *pouts*  Doesn’t take much to please him.  I, on the other hand, wouldn’t mind a redo.  I think Ryan would like that too.

Carla:  What about a honeymoon?  Any plans for an official honeymoon getaway?

Ridge:  Isn’t living out here honeymoon enough?

Abigail:  *rolls her eyes*  I have my fingers crossed for Venice as soon as Ryan heads back to school.

Ridge:  Too much water there.

Abigail:  It's very romantic.

Ridge:  What about Lake Harriet, close where you used to live?

Abigail:  For a honeymoon?  Please.

Ridge: Just like an old married couple, eh? Disagreeing around every corner.  That's what I like about you.  The flames that flash in your eyes when we disagree.  Come here.  *kisses Abigail*

[Abigail turns to wrap her legs about his waist.  They seem to forget they have company as Ridge's hands stray down to Abigail's backside…]

Michelle:  *chuckles and glances down as phone vibrates*  Oh boy, I guess the secret is out.  Damn GPS and social networking!  *shakes head*  I’m finally back in MN and the parental units are demanding an audience. *laughs*  Ridge, Abigail, thank you both so much for taking time to sit down and talk with us today.  Our readers will love getting to know a little bit more about you.

Carla:  Yes, it’s been great.  And thanks for the amazing coffee and hospitability as well.  *smiles*

Ridge:  *pulls himself away from the kiss*  Sure thing.  You two know the way out?  We’re kinda busy here *winks*

[We head out the front door with a very happy and very much in love couple cuddling behind us half heartedly waving goodbye]
