Book Monster Reviews/LITERAL ADDICTION: We would like to start out getting to know you a little bit better?
Q1): Can you tell us 3 things we don’t know about you, that we can't find out on the internet, in your bio, etc?
J.D.: These are just sort of fun and random, but here we go!
1. Well, this might be out there, but I can recite the entire prologue to the Canterbury Tales in Old English, from memory. J
J.D.: I’ve said this to folks before, but one day I woke up to get ready for work and I literally said, “Is this all there is? Is this what I’ve got to look forward to for the rest of my life?” I was so stressed at my teaching job, I was having chest pains. I knew it was time to do something new, and that meant following my dream of becoming a published author.
J.D.: Honesty and integrity. A sense of humor. Loyalty. He cares for only the beauty inside, not just on the outside, and he’d die for his woman. My God, I just described my Boston terrier! (kidding)
5) If you could list 3 things that never fail to make you smile, what would they be?
7) What are some of your favorite hobbies and things you love to do when you're not writing?
J.D.: I love to read! My Kindle is addictive and I spend way too much money downloading books. I also love to go to the movies and have long lunches with friends.
9) What are some of your favorite television shows and movies?
J.D.: Right now, I’m loving Criminal Minds—Shemar Moore and Matthew Gray Gubler…YUM! I’m also getting into Supernatural with Jensen Ackles, and of course I adore TAPS Ghost Hunters with Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. I’m totally addicted to that show! My favorite movie ever—As Good As It Gets with Jack Nicholson. There are SO many great quotable lines in that movie, and the characters are fantastic.
J.D.: TRIAL BY FIRE, my first Firefighters of Station Five book (as Jo Davis) is the most sentimental book for me. Lieutenant Howard Paxton, my gentle giant, will forever hold a special place in my heart.
12) What is your favorite genre of romance to write and which is the most challenging for you?
J.D.: I love writing all of my genres for different reasons, but the most challenging is definitely paranormal romance. That’s because the world is so intricate with tons of details to remember. On the other hand, it’s such fun because I get to make all the rules pertaining to that world. Nobody can tell me, “Um, black panthers don’t really exist.” Because I’m like, “Um, neither do shifters, vampires, Fae princes, and gremlins!” So there.
Book Monster Reviews/ LITERAL ADDICTION: O.K, now I'd like to ask some questions to get to know more about the ALPHA PACK series…
