Q&A Interview and Giveaway with Stacey Kennedy

Book Monster Reviews and LITERAL ADDICTION (http://www.literaladdiction.com/authors-corner.php/) have the extreme pleasure of welcoming Stacey Kennedy to our sites today!
Stacey, like all of us here, is a Paranormal junkie, and completely addicted to books in series, which makes her an ideal author for us to love!   Her books are action packed, witty, fantastical novels with heart stopping, knee weakening romance, which means it’s a good thing that the majority of her novels are part of series, because she always leaves us wanting more!
Stacey has a few new releases that are definitely worth talking about…
Bless The Beauty”, Stacey’s first book in her SPECIAL AGENT FANG series, was released on 5/8/2011.  “Bless The Beauty” is an erotic paranormal romance that has been said to have an amazing blend of captivating suspenseful mystery with sizzling hot erotic romance.  As the synopsis states, if you’re looking for Murder, abduction, sparring men, love and heartbreak, then you need to meet Special Agent Hadley Sloan and her SUPER sexy human and vampire!
A Warrior’s Witch”, the first book in a spinoff series from her MAGICAL SWORD series also set in the Otherworld, was released on 5/23/11.  “A Warrior’s Witch” has been said by numerous reviewers to be such a  captivating read, that they didn’t move a muscle from the time they picked it up to the time that they finished the very last sentence, and afterward, still couldn’t move because they had to wait for their pulse to slow and for the goosebumps to recede.  So, if you want a book where Decades old guilt collides with a murder, igniting a battle in a warrior’s soul to choose between love and duty then “A Warrior’s Witch” is definitely for you!
Tainted Blood”, Book #1 of Stacey’s new DARK ELEMENT series, set in the same world as her MAGICAL SWORD and OTHERWORLD ROMANCE series, was just released on 6/26/11.  It’s about an Earth Witch named Sabi, whose natural born ability to see premonitions of the darkness that threatens human lives is spiraling out of control and leaving her without control of her own life.  While Ryker is a Guardian whose job it is to protect the fine line between the human and Otherworlds, though he finds that he’s compelled to help Sabi learn how to distance herself from her visions and regain control at any cost.  The dangers of what is happening humanside continue to spiral out of control and Sabi and the very sexy Ryker develop a partnership that just might save Sabi’s life.
Even with all of this incredible work Stacey is producing for us loyal fans and new readers who are looking for their next fix, she’s still taking time out of her incredibly busy schedule to talk with us.  So, please welcome Stacey to Book Monster Reviews & LITERAL ADDICTION, and read what she had to say.
Remember, in order to be eligible for the Giveaway Contest drawing following the Event, you must be a Follower of the Book Monster Review blog, as well as a Member of the LITERAL ADDICTION forum on the Author’s Corner page, and leave Comments regarding the Interview to BOTH sites with your email address!
Don’t forget, Stacey will also be doing a 2 hour interactive Live Chat from 7:00 – 9:00pm EST (6-8pm CT/5-7pm MDT/4-6pm PDT) over on LITERAL ADDICTION’s Contact Us Page Chatroom (http://www.literaladdiction.com/contact-us.php/).
And if all of that wasn’t enough, Chelly Belle Designs has created a 100% Stacey Approved line of Stacey Kennedy/A Warrior’s Witch/Tainted Blood Fangear that is available for browsing and purchase over on LITERAL ADDICTION’s Fun-Stuff Page (http://www.literaladdiction.com/fun-stuff.php/).  Be sure to stop by and take a look!

LITERAL ADDICTION/Book Monster Reviews:  Hi Stacey!  We’re so very happy to have you today!  Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to drop by and spend some time with us!
Stacey:  Thanks so much for having me!! I’m so excited to be here and be a part of this awesome event!!

LITERAL ADDICTION/Book Monster Reviews:  How about if we start out getting to know you a little bit better!?
Q1):    Can you tell us 3 things that we don’t know about you from what we can find out on the internet, in your bio, etc?
Stacey: I’m addicted to everything and anything that is bad for me, I love girl’s night where I can dance at all night long, and I’m a huge animal lover.
Q2):  We think you can tell a lot about a person by what makes them smile.  If you had to list 3 things that never fail to make you smile what would they be?
Stacey: My hubby, my children, and my best friend.
Q3):  As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?  Did you ever think that you would become a bestselling author?
Stacey: I always wanted to be a mom. I never once had dreams of becoming an author, never took a class to pursue a writing career, and I certainly didn’t expect all this to happen. But I’m so glad it did—writing has been a total blast!
Q4):  What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not writing or taking care of other author business?
Stacey: I love the outdoors. In the summer months, we are always canoeing, camping, hiking, spending time at beach—just anything that involves nature and a sunny day makes me happy.
Q5):  What is the one constant in your daily routine that you absolutely cannot go without, even if you weren’t writing on that day?
Stacey:  Coffee. I would die without it. No seriously, I couldn’t get through my days without my morning coffee, and whenever I’m writing, I always have one.
Q6): What made you want to become an author?
Stacey:  Nexi. That’s the simplest answer. She was the character that drove me to write a story. I used to read A LOT, and one day, her story popped into my head. If you’ve read The Magical Sword series, you’ll understand when I say, she can be pushy. Well, she nagged at me enough to sit down and write…and that’s how it all began.
Q7):  If you were writing an Autobiography, what would the title of the book be?
Stacey:  One Hell of a Crazy Ride!
LITERAL ADDICTION/Book Monster Reviews:  O.K, now let’s ask some questions about you and your books…
Q8):  Do you have a favorite among your series?  If so, is there a particular reason why it’s your favorite?
Stacey: Nope. I love all my series for all different reasons! Whatever one I’m working on is usually the one I love the most, so as you can imagine, it always changes.
Q9):  Which one of your own characters is your favorite?  Why?
Stacey: Again, I could never pick. They are all so fun and all great in their own way. Right now, I’m totally drooling over Ryker from Tainted Blood, but when I start the next Tess & Kipp book, they’ll be my favorite. You see the problem!
Q10):  If your characters hadn’t paired up yet, and you could set one of them up with a character from another author’s series, who would you set up with whom?
Stacey: I would love to see Nexi paired up with Baltic from Katie MacAlister’s Dragon series. I think those two would just be a hoot to read! Oh, the drama that would be had!
Q11):  We know you don’t write with an outline or plan and just let the characters speak through you, but do you find that they give you too much information to work with, or do you have to coax things out of them?
Stacey: We usually get along pretty good, but they tend to not tell me enough at the time I’m writing the first draft. Needless to say, I have to go back and revise the story about four times before all the little details are filled in and the characters are fleshed out. It can be a long process.
Q12):  Do you have a book or series of yours that you would love to see made into a Movie or Television show?  What would you call it?
Stacey: I’d love to see the Blue Bloods series made into a Television show. I’d called it, “Lovin’ Me Some Werewolves”. J
Q13):  If you could live the life of one of your characters for 1 day, who do you think you would want to be for that day and why?
Stacey:  Um, I’d either be Sabi or Rynn, so I could spend one delicious night with their boys!!
Q14):  We know you’ve never written under a pseudonym, but if you ever did, what do you think you’d call yourself?
Stacey: HA! I couldn’t come up with one, which is exactly why I used my real name—sorry, I’ve got nothing!!
Q15):  What question have you always wanted to be asked about your series/books/characters in an interview, but have never been asked, and how would you answer that question?
Stacey: Do you feel bad for your characters when they are being put through hell? My answer would be, YES! When I wrote The Devil’s Kiss – The Magical Sword Book Three, I bawled my eyes out. Not just a little cry—I did the full out ugly cry!
Q16):  In your MAGICAL SWORD series, and again in “A Warrior’s Witch”, Nexi’s Willow tree is mentioned as ‘her place’, the one place where she can go to think, to unwind, etc.  Do you have a place like that for yourself?
Stacey: My laptop! Writing is an escape for me from daily life, mom duties, and is my utopia!
Q17):  Is there an author (or authors) you would love to co-write with?  If so, who?
Stacey: Katie MacAlister! She’s my favorite author, and if I ever had the chance to write a story with her, I’d be happy dancing all over the place.
Q18):  If you could nail down the one legacy you want to leave your readers with, what would it be?
Stacey: That my books touched them—took them on a fun ride of humor, danger, and passion. My hope is that my stories make a reader feel something and hopefully make them laugh. There is nothing better than putting a smile on someone’s face.
Q19):  What’s next for Stacey Kennedy?  What do we have to look forward to in the near future?
Stacey: Well anyone who knows me, knows my muse is always busy. In the fall, I’ll be starting three new series, Valor’s (Patriarch to the Wolves), Noeth’s (Fae from the Otherworld), and Misa (Demon turned Fallen Angel). So, everyone who loves the Otherworld novels will be happy, there is lots more to come. I’ll also be writing another Otherworld Romance and Dark Element Book to continue with those series.
But I have a secret project that I can hardly wait to get started on. I’ve wanted to write a new series for months now, but haven’t had the time. It will be a priority once the kids go back to school and I have some time alone again!
Other than that, I’ll just continue on with my current series, and I also plan to write a single title contemporary romance set in Ontario.
Like I said, I have a busy muse!
Q20):  Do you have anything that you want to make sure to say to your readers while you’re with us today?
Stacey: I’d love to express just how grateful I am to everyone who has supported me. I’m still quite new to writing and have only been published a year, but the outpouring of support I receive on a daily basis humbles me. I’ve not only gained loyal readers who love my characters as much as I do, but I’ve gained a lot of friends too—and that means so much more. J

Stacey:  Ladies, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your event. I’m thrilled to be a part of it and honored that you invited me!!
